I am getting ready to give my ST30BH a spring cleaning so it looks good for Memorial Day camping. I plan to start with the roof, work my way down the sides and do the awning. Any tips about how to do it, what to use, anything at all, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Jeannie

I use Spic-n-Span mixed with water on the roof with a medium bristle brush. After we get the roof washed we wash the trailer with Gel Gloss RV Wash. We spray the awning and slideawnings down once a year with mold and mildew cleaner for the shower then scrub it with the washing brush and rollthem back up for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then openthem back up and wash all the dirt and crud off and letthem dry. Plan on about a 1/2 a day to get it all cleaned up and ready to go.

And Then, of course is the next 1/2 day of waxing... you forgot to mention that Keith

Well worth it though. Lasts a long time and makes it easier the next cleaning.

I found a guy that washes the roof andthe trailer and waxes it for $150. For that I will let him do it twice a year and never mess with it again.

I used a little simple green and a brush on my roof and it turned out pretty good. I used the RV wash and Wax to get most of the road grime off from my last two trips and hope to put a few coats of wax on it before too long. However, even after 1-year the Gel Gloss still looks great!!!

I am not a expert but would think that spic & span may be too abrasive for the roofs - looking to get mine done this weekend & considering methods

thanks

You dilute it in water. I have been using it for years along with many others without any issues.

Wax on -Wax off - Wax on - Wax off - Wax on - Wax off. Spend the money on an orbital buffer or you will look like theincredible hulk in the arms and shoulds by the time you are done. An orbital buffer will make it SOOOOOOOO much easier to wax and speed up the process to.

I have been using Seventh Generation, it's a Natural All Purpose Cleaner. Those black streaks are gone in no time and safe on the carpets as well. Of course, waxing is a must.

Frank-

When my wife's sister came to visit for a week + in Feb. I suggested that I go on a campground scouting trip to Arizona to prepare for a future trip and to give them more time to bond.Worked like a charm. Went on the scouting trip, came back to prepare to getout of the Colorado snow. Left April 3rd and just got back. Great trip!

We found a local RV dealer (not crossroads). He offers a spring cleaning plus roof special. We had it washed and waxed..heck they even glossed up the tires. Did the UV roof treatment all for $120.00

In the past we did it ourselves..I used Dawn dish soap, it worked really well on cutting through the grease and grime from the road.

I could not find spic & span (powder)in my area, and had to order it on-line. I have not used it yet, but will git-r-done (soon). I ordered two boxes just to keep some for next time.

I used formula 409 to get the black streaks off and then used the wash and wax all in one for campers. Just did it yesterday. I will probably do a hand wax this summer if I can find a day that is not too hot!!

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have been busy getting the camper ready to roll for the Memorial Day weekend. I think it looks pretty good!! It is all done except the awning and I hope to get it done yet this morning. I think my neighbors got quite a kick watching me up on the roof! As soon as my boys get home from school today, we plan to head out to the campground.

I hope you all have a great weekend! As we enjoy the holiday weekend, let's not forgot the meaning of Memorial Day and especially remember those who died in service to our country. Thanks again for all your help.
