Hello everyone,

Im going to replace my converter with a Progressive Dynamics PD9260C 60 amp Converter w/PENDANT.

Has anyone already done this to their TT or 5er and were you happy with the results?

Also one last question isnt the stock converter in our trailer a 55 amp? Is it still ok to go up to 60 amp? Is it better for the trailer? Whats the plus side of going with a larger amp converter?

I replaced my 55 amp WFCO converter with a XantrexXADC-40 when it stopped working at thetwo year mark. Very easy to replace. I have two Costco 6v golf cart batteries in my rig. Happy with the results.

I'm not sure what diameter wire is used by Crossroads when wiring the charger to the batteries but I noticed some posts inanother forumconcerned about wire sizeto the converter being a factor in whether 55-60amp charging make sense. Converter/Chargers havethree modes: "bulk", "absorption", and "float".If the wire size isn't adequate for the distance from the battery, the charger won't enter "bulk" mode (the highest charge rate) and charging times become longer.
