converter replacement

It appears my WFCO converter has bit the dust. The supply puts out 13.7vdc until a load is applied, then voltage takes a nosedive to 3vdc. This is with no battery in the circuit, only on 120vac power.

Over at rv.net the WFCO converters are held in low esteem. Seems that the Power Dynamics converters are much better quality, slightly less expensive, and are a direct swap for the comparable WFCO unit.

Anyone have any experience with this conversion?
