I have a 2007 Crossroads 20RL and love it, however I have an intermittent slider problem that seems to be getting worse as time goes on. I have adapted a quick way of manually opening and closing the slide, but that is starting to get old. I took the problem in to the Crossroad dealer in Northern Washington and they said they replaced the switch...since it is still not working I don't believe that was the problem. My question is about the location of the slider motor(s) and a relay that may provide thepower connection to the motor(s). Where are these located???? I am pretty knowledgable about electricity, but I don't want to start cutting into the underneath membrane to eventually find the items. Can anyone point me in the general location of these electrical components and/or let me know if there are people that have had similar problems and what they found to correct them?

Thanks, Victor

Victor:

I recommend that you call the CrossRoads Service Department and speak to Randy Mishler about your problem. The number is 1-888-226-7496 ext. 224.

Don't know the location of any relay. If you look under the slide area on the membrane, look for an area about 12" square that is marked with 4 metal trim pieces. The membrane is not cut but the square indicates the motor location. That is how my 07 is marked.

If you provide a more detailed description of your problem, we may be able to provide additional help. There are alot of people on the forum, and most issues have been experience by someone else.

Do a Google search for the Lippert Components website. They have all of the manuals available on line for all their slides, etc.

Thanks everyone for your replys....I know where the opening is underneath the trailer, but it that's the motor it is located more towards the center of the trailer and I can only easily access the manual hex connection where you hook up the speedhandle to manually extend and retract the slide. The switch is a sealed one with a plastic housing and since there must be a good amount of current draw from the slider motor there would be a relay controlling the power to the motor instead of the switch handling the power/current switching. I did a quick search for Lippert components, but was unable to find anything for a manual, but I'll keep looking. I'll look at giving Randy a call tomorrow to see if he has any quick checks and locations for me to do this weekend.

On our 05 Silverado there is no relay. The switch carries full motor load.
