Crossroads service

I had a warranty issue with my new TT this past weekend, I sent CR a email Sunday in regards to the problem and my willingness to fix it myself. After exchanging my VIN # with service today via email, my parts are on the way. Thanks Crossroads!

Thanks for posting your positive dealings with Crossroads. This kind of stuff isn't posted often.

Good deal. We have (fortunately) not had any major issues...but they did help with a few things when our first trailer wasn't what we expected (hey...they could have simply stated "our disclaimer lets us change what we want when we want")!

Oh mine was a major issue that I'm fortunately able to fix myself, but 90% of other people wouldn't. I'm now a expert at slideout adjustment and install! My rear slideout had no set screws and worked loose destroying the wiper seal. Crossroads is sending me enough seal to replace all the seals but I only need 1 side replaced. I really like the new 2 peace seal being used now, it makes for simple repair if ever needed. Yes I offered to replace the seal myself so Crossroads allowed once I sent pictures of what was missing and my repair. Now I'll repair the seal myself withen 30 minutes with no downtime or waiting for the dealer. I'm still happy with my purchase.

Sking, to ensure that CR has no problems with your repair, you should send them some pics of your completed repair. IMHO.

We have been very happy with the service from Crossroads.

I sent the before and after photos of my bolt replacement and slide alignment and it was perfect according to the service department. The wiper seal will be cut to match what's removed and screwed back in the same holes with some silicon on each screw. I'll photo the before and after to send back to CR service. I asked if repairing myself voids any warranty and have a copy of the email that approved the repair I've made so far. Had I not repaired it I think allot more damage would've taken place. I didn't think the slide retracted properly the first trip out and that's why I looked into and found the problem my second trip out. I'm really thinking of selling my current business and going into moble RV repair LOL.

Well, you would have plenty of business I am sure. And you could go to the RV Professor's training school for certification. He and Lady E were at the Crossroads Rally this summer. We learned a lot about electricity, etc. from their classes with us.

That's good Shane. Approached in the right way, as you have, a lot can be done ourselves and limit down time. Works out good for both the end user and the manufacturer.
Enjoy your new rig.
