Damage from tire

2017 Sunset Trail 331BH

Had a blowout on the front tire under the kitchen slide out. When I stopped to assess the damage there were two black wires like an extension cord (black, white and green wires inside) and a yellow and white wire and a white wire (16 g maybe) wrapped around the axle. The flexible propane line had also been ripped out. In the spot where it goes into the underside of the body there was also a large flat white connector hanging there.

Once we arrived at camp we had no electricity in the kitchen or living room slides (lights, plugs, appliances) but everything else worked fine in the center of the camper (a/c, lights over sink, electrical outlet on sink, tv, etc.). Everything worked fine in front and back rooms and bathrooms.

I pulled the access panel to the fridge and the ground and 12v dc (yellow/white and white wires) had been ripped out. I pulled the drawer under the stove and there were two more of those flat white connectors that weren’t connected to anything.

Now, my best guess is this….
The two “extension cord” wires went into the blue connectors under the stove. The other end of those probably go into the back of the breaker box. However I’m at a loss for the other flat white and the yellow/white and white wires. Is there a wiring diagram anywhere that anyone knows of?

I just bought four new tires and don’t want to spend a fortune fixing this because this was literally our last trip before selling it.

Usually wiring diagrams are not available.
Will your insurance cover the damage?
An Rv repair shop could help with the wiring.

Good luck

If you just put new tires on and one blew that soon, maybe you should be talking to the place you bought them from.

No, the new tires were because of the blowout. I just went ahead and got rid of the other three time bombs…

I’m hoping this cost less than my $500 deductible…

Ran across a link in this post while trying to figure out an issue with one of our awnings. Thought it might help

While there is no wiring diagrams available per se, Keystone does have in their website the standard wiring size and colors they use for the various parts of the rig. I found that enormously helpful in identifying wires. Let me know if you don’t find it snd I’ll dig up the link snd send it to you.
