We did alot of research and thought this would be the RV for retirement. Purchased Feb. 2010, after 2 times camping we have the following issues. Would like to know if anyone else has had the same. Caulking outsideall around coming apart, screws falling & breaking off of trim, trim coming unattached, gaps in bathroom wall, main bed overhead cabinet falling, bathroom door pealing, trim on slide-out near microwave coming unattached, can't use table due to legs to close to seating and not able to get around it-now we will have holes in floor when legs are moved, outside wall curves out near city water connection and in front of camper on the outside approx 8 screws up the wall looks like it is caving in. I called the rep and she said they will fix it all, but this RV seems to be a lemon. Not happy at all with this product.

Sorry to hear that. If you look around here this story will be the exception. I'm sure if given the chance Crossroads's will fix. They always seem to come thru in the end for their customers.

Not sure how close you live to the factory ( northern Indiana ) but you might think about trying to get it back there. I bet they would be interested in seeing this unit as others might be having the same issues.

I have an 2007 Sunset Trail and have had no problems with it at all. I have the dealer check my roof and all of the caulking every spring and other than spots here and there that need attention, it has not been an issue.

The new Sunset Trails are not like the older ones, which are now more like the Cruiser CTX lineup. Don (GTOGuy) hit it on the head. This is the exception, not the rule. None the less Crossroads has proven time after time that they will do the right thing and correct any issues. I agree with Don that whether you are near the factory or not, take a trip and let them handle the repairs. You have extensive issues which are beyond the normal little issues that plague all RVs.

Thank you for all your replies. We have called a dealership in Northern Mississippi and they are not interested in touching it. We called a dealership in Mid. Alabama and they said to call back in 2 weeks. So we are going to call them back and see where it goes from there. After owing this RV for 3 months you become uncomfortable to taking it on the road.

Thanks again.

Chris

I also encourage you to call Crossroads now. As long as you are the first owner, they will be very helpful. In my case, Crossroads had my camper hauled to their repair facilities, TWICE.

I want to thank all of you for your support and suggestions. We did contact the Tennessee Rep Tara and she has been very helpful (koodos to her). Our camper was picked up by one of their transportors on Wednesday and due to arrive at the plant today. The response from the company has eased the frustration some and we hope the RV comes back like new.

Glad to hear you bypassed the dealerships and contacted Crossroads directly. Some of the dealers are unreal. They give the factory a bad name by their laziness. We are lucky, we are very happy with our dealer, and Crossroads!

We are no longer disappointed with our Sunset Trail 2010. We took the advise of some forum members and notified the manufacture. We emailed pictures to both the plant and the RV dealer that we purchased the RV from. The manufacture was great. The RV dealer we still have not heard a word from about the RV. The CrossRoads rep (Tara and Randy) responded very quickly. Randy arranged for pick up/delivery service to pick our Rv up in Tn and take it to the plant in Indiana. 1-1/2 weeks later it was returned to us repaired and no cost to us. Randy also had pictures emailed to us as the repairs were completed. We are very happy with this manufacture. Our out look is a lot different due to their service.

Thanks to everyone for their comments and help.

The Happy Hoffmann's

Tn.

Great news. CR does a real good job taking care of their customers. I am sure it reflects in their future sales numbers.

Wow, sorry you got a lemon, but it's really great to read that CR owned up and went out of their way to fix the problems. You don't hear stories like that very often.

I will never take CR's superior customer service for granted. They seem to go above and beyond reasonable expectations time after time.

Congrats to the Hoffmanns for getting their ST made right. Thank you Crossroads for your response!

Glad to hear that everything has been fixed. Crossroads is great at customer service and building good trailers. That's why we are on our second cruiser.
