Dometic Microwave 15B

Well ours never work since we picked up our Jefferson. Dealership ordered a new. It arrived today. I went and pick it up. Since we fulltime, can't drag the 5th wheel to the dealership. Took out the old one, installed new one...still not working.... clock works. Thats it..no heat..no turntable. Any ideas? Reading other sites. Dometic has alot of problems with their microwaves. Guess I'll just head to hardware store and buy a real microwave. Not a "RV" microwave.

Depending on the opening, there are a few RV brands that fit the opening and have the fascia trim (black metal plate with screws).

I'm clueless...RV shop says they got the original microwave working. Told them bring it back and reinstall. Wish they would of the time to come out when I first called. Instead of just saying we'll order you a new one. Lazy SOB. They gladly take your money.

On Friday, the RV tech brings out my old (working, i saw myself) original microwave. Reinstall it. It does not work. He checks the voltage. Its at 122v. He is clueless. Says he will call Dometic Monday morning. I was wondering, maybe the power cord connection inside microwave is loose. It worked fine at the rv shop. But when it goes up into cabinet, perhaps its twisting the cord somehow.

Have you tried plugging in a different appliance with a high draw, like a vacuum to that outlet? Perhaps there is a wiring issue or issue back in the convertor with a breaker? Thinking thermal issue?

Have a air compressor, I'll give that a try a little later. Still early here. Don't want to wake the neighborhood...

Went to the Oshkosh, WI RV show yesterday. One of the dealers had a Rushmore Jefferson there. I like it, the DW didn't. They offered it to me for $59K...says CR was offering the show price. I asked if the dealer would throw in the second year of warranty and he said 'no'...so I said "bye"...

On a different note I look at tires and suspensions and axles. Found one unit, only one, with Dexter Axles, and the Equa-Flex Suspension...with the 'never fail bushings' I was very impressed with that...but alas, nothing I wanted to buy.

Plugged in my Rolair 1.5 air compresser..115v. Work great.r Open air valve for over a minute. Compresser ran great. Guess we'll wait until tomorrow.

Installing myself a new Frigadaire microwave. Working great. Like a microwave should. Happy wife again. Will take invoice in for refund tomorrow.

Just picked up my reimbursement check for my broken Dometic microwave. thank you Blue Dog RV. Now just need to fix the screen door that's out of alignment. Always something to fix. Just like a stick/brick home

MHO - go buy a $60 micro from Wal Mart and keep trim pieces to fill gap.
