Dometic Microwave/Convection/Vent

Oven quit this morning. Getting F-5 code. Seems it has to be replaced from what I find online. Can't find much info.....seems Dometic is rather secretive about it. Heck, I don't even see one on the Dometic site! Anyone else had to replace one?

Our Dometic microwave never worked from the beginning. Replaced with a second....no luck. Two months later I gave up. Bought a residential microwave from the local store. Worked for 13 months...12 month warranty....lol..tossed it in the garbage. Went to Home depot. Bought a LG convention/microwave. Works great. Good luck.

From what I have found, the Dometic is a re-labeled LG. Ours has been great. We never use the range oven (guess we will now). Looking at LG support, F5 is a damper switch failure. Also popped up an F1 code one time, which is bad thermistor.

I'll call our service guy tomorrow. Hopefully he can get a new one pretty soon.

Brand new oven installed today. Up popped the F5 code. Service guy called Dometic.....another new one on the way. BTW, these ovens are obsolete. Just what is in stock is available. After that....you're SOL!

What is unique about these ovens is that it mounts strictly to the wall in the back. New ones all mount with overhead screws. Think I may have to get creative in the future!

You have a cabinet above the oven? Curious how you installed the top screws?

Yes. Measured 4 times. Drilled holes. Got real close. Used oversized washers. For weight of microwave. It's also hanging on the rear wall, with a bracket.

Domestic convection microwave

We have a 2010 Seville and need to replace the convection microwave. Don’t see bolts or how it is hanging. No cabinet above. Has anyone replaced it if so how and what did you replace it with since domestic no longer makes that model

Remove the air vent above the door. You’ll see a screw on each side that goes back to the mounting plate. Remove those screws and lift slightly. Should come right out.

I’ve had to replace ours again since this thread. I purchased one from Amazon. Fits nicely. You just have to replace the wall mounting plate. Sharp 1.1 Cu. Ft. 850W Over-The-Range Convection Microwave Oven, Stainless Steel (R1881lsy) https://a.co/d/ip2vIMP

No snow thankfully just the camper is not at home. After a certain age you pay someone to do things you can still do or like to think you can. Its at our local auto shop getting the wheel bearings repacked and brakes adjusted and a under carriage inspection. If done will pick it up later today.
