Electric Issue

Alright, need some ideas on where to look.

Issue:
New Batteries installed and batteries are not powering the camper. Not the lighting, not the jack, nothing. Plugged the camper into the truck and the truck battery wasn't sending power to the jack either. Got the camper loaded onto the truck by hand, plugged in and all the driving lights work fine on the camper, drove it home and plugged it into shore power. And look, the power jack works!

So I have an issue with the battery circuit portion of my electrical. I do have a kill switch installed, will check that, perhaps something came loose.
Will verify the 6V batteries are installed properly and didn't blow a fuse (but did check in the dark last night).
Will verify the batteries are charged (they are new and the store verified charged 2 days ago).

Anyone have any ideas on other areas to check? Right now, camper won't run on batteries. Will be off the grid with my gennie next week so need the batteries to help power the heater at night.

First thing to check---are the batteries connected to the proper/correct terminals.
You stated --6volt batteries---are they connected together correctly.

As Lloyd said start with the battery connections. For 2-6 volt batteries the + from camper to the + on one battery then from the - of that battery to the + of the second battery then from the - of that battery to the - cable on the camper will give you 12 volts. Could be as simple as the disconnect turned off.

Problem solved....

To the above, yep, it was wired correctly and was reading 12V on the terminals. Which was part of my frustration, I know they are pushing juice!!!!!

Turns out, because I had to work at night, I didn't see how much rust I had on the terminal connector and it simply wasn't getting a good connection. Sometimes, its the simplest of solutions.... facepalm.
