scenario::
The other night the campground i was in had a major power issue ( the neutral lug broke off the main powerfeed for the area i was in ) and fried several campers electrical systems completely and damaged mine. 2013 elevation 3612
My coffee pot caught on fire and was blowing sparks, my microwave burnt out, and a table top fan burnt up.
i was able to disconnect from shore power and fired up my generator. everything other than the items listed above seemed to be working. both AC units work fine tv's and anything else i could find worked.

current issues: my battery will not charge either with the generator running or on shore power (they fixed the power) everything seems to work fine other wise. But If i turn the battery disconnect off i lose everything, lights, air conditioning, ac power at the outlets.. nothing. (but the generator will keep running fine)

so im thinking my converter is fried but how do i check it and where is it located?

any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Might have (Hopefully) blown the fuse in the convertor 40Amp. If not it has blown the convertor

The converter is behind a panel in the storage compartment besides the front door.

That is why you do not have pass through storage compartments. Remove several screws to remove the access panel and almost all the components are behind there. Not easy access.

Had the same exact thing happen to my TT and it blew the converter fuses but upon replacing them the converter was shot. Hope you have better luck. I was one of those that said "I've been camping for 15 years and never had a need for a surge protector". Was my first purchase when I got my camper back. LOL
