By Trailair.
There was talk on an old thread about doing a change over to wet bolt kit.
Where do you buy them?
What all comes with the kit?
How much does it cost? Any body remember?

Here are the two I have found and will probably order from one of these. I am not going to try and do ours until Fall or Winter when it cools down a bit.

I bought a set of wet bolts this spring for 49.00$ plus shipping. I ordered from trailair. you have to call them to order, they will not order by computor. When I took out the old bushings the plastic ones they had wear holes through the sides of them. I can't believe anyone still uses them.

Do the new bushing slide into the hole pretty easy, or do you have to have some type of tool to "press" them in?

The bushings slid in easy and did not have to be pressed in. I don't think this is a problem, they wern't to loose. After 20 years of spring pin bushings replacing on schoolbuses, I don't see where a little play hurts. With weight on camper put a long bar between spring curl and frame and pull down if play than it's to loose. When I finished all mine were tight.

Thanks for the info. This is my next project, and that's it for this year.

Anybody care to explain the topic....wet bolt? Is this something I should be concerned about or is this just a "make it better" deal?

Definitely a "make it better deal"!!
If you have Equa-flex on your unit, you should look and see if you can find any grease zerks on it. If it is stock you probably won't see any.
The wet kit is new bushings and bolts with grease zerks. It will preserve your system for a long time--------if you grease them.

The other thing is from the factory your bushings are plastic and mine wore holes through the sides in less than 6,000 miles.

Ok...let's take it one step further...what happens ifyou don't "upgrade" and the plastic bushings develop holes? Whats the worst that can happen??

Then it begins to wear on the bolts. Something has to wear...
