Does anyone have any experiance with extended service plans? My Paradise Point just went out of warranty and after having an axle fall off andhaving four (4)power converters replaced in 2 years I am really thinking about signing up for the Good Sam Extended plan. I would appeciate any feedback on pros/cons, names of other companies that provide these plans, any dealings you may have had with this type of plan, is it worth the expense, etc., etc.

We had the GS ESP on our old Cruiser and it transfered to the new owners when we sold it. I believe they had a slide issue and the plan covered the repair. They are on this forum so maybe they will chime in. Our warranty is up on our PP this coming June and we will probably get the same plan on this trailer. It is basically an insurance policy the warranty company is betting you won't use and you are betting you will. For as much as we use our trailer and travelwith it the plan is worth it to us. You have to decide if you think it is right for you or not.

I second Hunter11's POV. I also picked up GS ESP as the warranty was expiring on our 05PF36SK, haven't had to call them yet, but am betting I will, probably sooner than later.

Yes we used the GS plan on the Cruiser we bought from Hunter. It replaced the slide actuator and some other part (sorry I don't remember). Saved us a lot of money. We have renewed the plan. I think it is worth the money spent. We were able to use a local RV dealership for the work and they handled all the paperwork.

You’ll find variations in what contracts

cover. Almost all contracts exclude from coverage maintenance and

wear items, ranging from brake parts to exhaust system components to

air filters. And many contracts exclude—or fail to include—many

additional items, including electrical devices like power windows

and radios, interior trim, gauges, and even air-conditioning

systems.

Can someone tell me what the " GS" plan is? Is this a company name? I have always purschased extended warranty, much like on our autos and have used them several times over the past 12 years.
