I just ordered a 2012 ZT26BH through my dealer. I have read of people receiving updates about there order. Do these updates come from the dealer or the factory or both?
Information on mine was pretty limited. Dealer would speak to the sales rep who could tell him when expected final assembly date was. Only information I could get. Took about 7 weeks from order to pick up date for me. I just got mine home last night.
Both. In my case, I had already talked with the sales rep prior to placing the order since there were several non-advertised options. But the rep didn't call me, I called him for an update. Also, there is a dead zone in the process, once the unit exits the factory and goes to the transport lot there is no specific date it will leave the lot. It is not a case of first in, first out. Depends on the number of drivers, weather in different parts of the country and where those drivers want to go. We actually ordered two units and they exited the factory one day apart. But delivery to the dealer was different by almost 2 weeks.
