Faulty Brake wiring

Zinger 2010
Hooked up to truck sometimes works but sometimes the faulty electric brake wiring light comes on. Tried it on 2 different trucks, same thing.
Anyone had similar issues and how’d you fix it?? Already replaced the plug

I had issues with the insulation being stripped off the brake wiring running inside the axles. I had this happen on two rv's. I think the insulation was damaged when the wire was installed from the sharp edges around the holes. Replaced the wiring on the outside of the axle. There may be enough slack in the wires that some can be pulled out of the axle to check.

Had the same intermittent problem, was the wire going across the tube to right side brakes worn thru from rubbing on the tube. Put a new wire on the outside and zip tied in place, works fine.
