My husband and I just got our first rv and have a lot of learn on how to take care of it to keep it in good shape so we have a few questions
some of the seals around the vents on the roof need to be sealing again it has a rubber roof we have found some caulking/sealent that is made for rubber roofs but we are not sure if you have to take the old stuff off first, and if so how do you take it off?

another one is the fan in the toilet room will open (it's automatic with rain dedection and it's own thermostat) but the fan will not sure, you can hear it click like it wants to but nothing happens. when I climbed on the room i noticed the ground wire is pretty rusty so i'm thinking that maybe the ground just needs to be cleaned up a little but wondering if anyone has any thoughts on that.

and some of the speakers don't work in the trailers surround sound system not a big deal but would like to get them working at some point

thanks everyone i'm sure we will have more questions to come, we did buy an rv book that tells us a lot but i think we need rv's for dummies

In regards to the seals I just made sure the surface is clean from dirt and then put the stuff down. I sued a small acid brush to help spread the sealant over the cracks and area you want to seal.

The ground wire may be the cause but I would also check to make sure the fan turn freely and the little sensor is clean. I have had this problem too.

Speakers well that could be a ton of things but I am sure you all will get things worked out.

Hope all is going well in your move

OK, maybe an obvious thing to check on the speakers, but some systems have A/B/Both switches.
