Fireplace Functionality

I have a twinstar electric fireplace. I've read the manual on line and seem to follow the directions, but I have not been able to get it to stay on for any length of time. It will heat for a couple minutes when first turned on, and then only comes on for 30 second stretches every ten minutes or so. This seems to happen no matter how high I have the thermostat. Last night it got down to 57 degrees inside the trailer. Any suggestions? I have read previous posts regarding opinions of these fireplaces.

You might want to check how heavy the wire is they used when it was installed.
Then, consider running a separate dedicated wire just for the fireplace.
