Fireplace in Sunset Trail Reserve Models

Hi everyone, my wife and I are in the market for a new TT and to be honest we had never even heard of Sunset Trail when we began our search - but we found a Sunset Trail Reserve package at the Edmonton RV show last weekend and were very impressed.

I have one question regarding the fireplace in this model that I can't seem to find an answer for anywhere - I take it the fireplace must actually put out heat and isn't just for show - does it use propane to do this, or does it run strictly on electric? And as for electric, can the fireplace run on 15 AMP or does it take a 30 AMP to run it like your A/C & microwave?

Any other Sunset Trail Reserve owners out there with some advice for a potential buyer? We have also been taking a good long look at a Primetime Tracer Executive, but it is going to come down to what size we want to go with. Personally would love to have an outside kitchen and a seperate bunkhouse at the back, but not sure I want to jump all the way from a 26 foot trailer (exterior length of our current model) up to a 34-35 feet that it takes to get that floorplan. It's not even so much the towing, but the fact that it limits my spots when we do get to a campground.

They are electric. You'll want to be on your 30 amp connection to power the device since it has a similar draw/heat output as a 1500w ceramic heater. I have been told they are very effective at removing the chill.

We put a 1500W fireplace in our 30SK and it does a good job of keeping the unit warm but takes a long time to GET it warm. We will run the furnace first and then the fireplace to maintain the temp. Another thing is most fireplaces can display the flame without heat or flame AND heat. It's nice for watching TV as it is almost silent (the furnace can be quite noisy)
