Check out the weights. I think most Montana models are better suited for a one ton.

I agree, weigh your truck's rear axle weight (fully loaded) to see if you have sufficient remaining capacity to handle the Montana's pin weight. Of course all you will have available is the dry pin weight. Most RVers suggest that the loaded pin weight increases as a direct percentage of the dry pin weight to total dry weight. Again, that is the best info available prior to actual ownership. But, most fifth wheels have far more storage at the front of the unit than over or behind it's axles. So, in reality, loaded pin weight will be a higher percentage of loaded total weight than dry pin weight to dry total weight.

We looked at some of the Montanas, they are great units, but a little heavy and pricey for our budget. IMHO, best bang for the buck is the Cruiser. We bought a CF335 in December, had a couple of issues which the dealer promptly corrected. Since then we have camped 26 nights and put 3,200 miles on it and it feels more like home than the house.

I'll second M&M's recommendation. I looked a long time, ruled out the Montana's, and a bunch of other's, because of wt. and price. Narrowed my choices to Cruiser, Denali, and Open Range; bought a Cruiser because it offered the best overall value.

X2 on the above suggestions. Can't beat a cruiser for weight, features, bang for the buck, and service.

Owned 2 Keystone and never again! Try to get warrant out of them Thanks to my dealer for paying out of his pocket as Keystone would not stand behind there work. Have had 2 new Cruiser and they take care of there warranty with out any questions. My next trailer will be a Crossroads product Hands down.

Thanks everyone for the info ,my wife and I believe our first 5th wheel will definitely be a cruiser. Also thanks for the info on Keystone you would think being a big company as they are they would stand by their products.

bought our CF29Rk in 2006..new.
Had some minor issues which were taken care of by the company.
Crossroads listens to customers and make appropriate changes.
This will be the only company I will ever deal with.

Montana's are quite nice. Keystone puts out a ton of them and they are pretty popular among semi-full time folks. I appreciate the design and layouts they offer. I have found that people either love/hate Keystone depending on their warranty experiences with them.

Most folks seem to really love the Cruiser line and rarely do I hear of a terrible thing wrong with them. A 2+5 warranty and a service center help that perception. If I were to buy another towable it'd be a Crossroads.

We have only owned our Cruiser for a short time and have no issues presently. I agree with all the good info in the replys you have received. I did my due diligence and did a 4 month serious search for my first 5th wheel purchase. I believe the Cruiser is a superior unit at its price point. Investigate the construction practices and materials used and you will see that Crossroads is very good choice. Montana shows well but I also have encountered folks who have had them and say they will never go back to Keystone. Best of luck in your choice. Happy Trails

Does the CF335 have an actual sofa or is it the little 2 person love seat? We are interested in this model but can not find a unit in our area to walk through and don't want to order without actually seeing one first.

HI Judging by the online floorplan I would assume it is a loveseat. I do not believe a sofa is an offering. Contact crossroads directly they are super to work with .http://www.crossroadsrv.com/

Our CF335 has the two person love seat, with air matress; not enough room for the full size sofa.
