Like so many things, you can get a general sense of something by reading other people's thoughts online but I think the only way to KNOW what works best in your exact situation is to try one. That has been my experience, at least on many subjects. Don't forget that people are more likely to say, "I had a bad experience" than the opposite. I think most will agree that RV exteriors don't age well in the open, however, especially if not painted, but all alternatives have their downsides (cost, hassle, etc.) A cover is probably the cheapest choice and the smaller the unit, the easier it will be to deal with.
