Does anyont have any experience with a flexing tongue? MY brother in law has a flex of about 1 to 2 inches that is damaging the front stone guard on his 28 ft trailer. The manufacturer(not Crossroads) will not do a warranty repair. So I think that he is planning to remove the tongue next winter andreweld it onagain if it doesn't break before then. The manufacturer claims this is natural and is not a safety problems. Any feed back would be welcome. Thank you.
Did they speak directly tothe manuf.Warranty Rep. or did they only speak to the dealer? The problem I have found over the years is that the dealer will "speak" for the manufacturer when they are not qualified to do the repair or too lazy.
I suggest you call the manuf. directly and provide pictures, VIN#, etc.Edited by: mwebber78

We have a 07st30bh and the tongue flexes not sure how much never give it a though. We had a 30' Springdale that did the something that damaged the siding where the tongue meets the frame when i took it in to get the siding fixed they said a little flex was normal. But they didn't say how much was normal.
IMHO, I wouldn't pull it anywhere, except to a facility to make repairs. And I sure wouldn't let the dealer make repairs; I'd want a reputable welder that knows what he's doing to fix this. I sure wouldn't wait till next winter, unless he plans to leave it parked all year. Better safe than sorry; wouldn't want to get to a CG with just the tongue on the hitch and no trailer!
Thank you for responding, he talked to the dealer that he purchased it from and they would not do the warranty work, he took it to another dealer and they would do the work if Keystone would authorize it. When Keystone would not approve it he picked up the camper and brought it home and is planning to fix it at home or at his shop, he works on trucks and trailers.
