Headed out today to dewinterize and get ready for the spring camping season. All went well till I tried to turn one of the two valves to un-bypass my water heater. It seems as if something internal must of broke and the shaft turns ( kind of wobbily ) but no water will flow thru it.
My question is... what do they call this style of tubing and connectors. It looks like a plastic tube is held onto each of the fittings with some sort of compressed metal ring or clamp. I have looked on some websites and have not seen a pictures of this style. Maybe I am just not using the correct keywords in my search.

You will find that the tool to put the clamps on the pex is fairly costly. If you only need to make a couple of repairs, shark bite fittings work well. But do not buy the off brand take offs of shark bites. they are not any good.

Home Depot has a crimp tool for pex that is reasonable and works great for the Saturday plumber.
