the fridge drain tube on my unit is fastly getting shorter, looks like the fridge will have to come out to replace the tube, my fridge is in a slide and I have 2 outside vents, I can see the tube bit can't get at it, my thought is to run a oversize tube, probably a clear plastic tube, right over the original tube, has anyone done this ?....looks alot easier than pulling the fridge, any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated..........thanks Mike

Mike, I don't see why that would not work. If you can't to the end of the hose I would think that would be the best solution. I would think you could tie wrap the new hose to something to keep it from sliding off the old one.

On the Norcold fridge in our cruiser they just have a drip pan inside the lower opening that catches the drips from the fridge. Maybe you could do something like that inside so whats left of your hose would work and you wouldn't have to fool with it again. Especially each time you remove the exterior cover.

I had the same problem last fall. I finally realized there was a strip of wood about 3" wide that I could remove and that allowed me to reach the tube. Even with that removed it was still a stretch and not easy! Does your drain tube have a "loop" in it to act like a trap? I can't remember if mine did or not but I would think it should.

I have 2 covers on the outside, I can see the tube and where it's connected from the top vet, but there is no way I can reach it, my thought was just a tube over the original tube and use plastic tie straps to hold it in place, the only other way to do it is to pull the fridge, not a fun job...I saw some clear plastic tube at home depot, thought I would just use that.......
