fridge works on gas but not on electric and will not switch over to gas on auto
what should I be checking?

Could be 110 Volt electric element not working but the Ref. board is seeing 110 volts and will not switch over to gas. You may want to unplug 110 volt at ref. and see if it then switches over to gas. This is a guess on what could be wrong.

Does the 110 volt outlet have power? You don't have a GFCI tripped by chance.

There are some fuses in the board on the back of the fridge (at least on my '07). Check the wiring and fuses on the board connections. I agree with Robbie - if the fridge senses 120v, it won't switch to gas in auto mode as 120v has priority.

Ours did this, It was the GFI outlet at the bath room sink. Reset and have not had issues since.
