I have a chip in my jet ski's gel coat, and was given this place that sells repair kits. I also notice they sell kits for RV's. Just an FYI.

Hey Mark, have you ever done gel coat repair? If not, one word of caution. If you use regular gel coat, you must cover with plastic wrap or some non-porus material. There is also a Gel coat with wax that does not need to be covered as the wax will come to the surface and provide the barrier to air. Gel coat by itself, will NOT cure when exposed to air. Don't ask how I know this. There are also colors that can be mixed in. Good luck.

Cobra909, This will be my first time messing with it. Thanks for the heads up. Probably after I get done really messing up what I was supposed to be fixing on the jet ski, I will take to the boat repair shop to have it fixed the right way. But I will try "most" anything once.

Speaking of trying "most" anything once, how did your tuner install work. I assume your still on your original motor!

That's exactly how I learned, Trial & Error...heavy on the error. Several years ago, I bought an old 19' I/O that had spider web cracks and a pretty good dent on the top bow. Like I said, after several attempts, I was able to get a perfect color match and with much sanding, buffing and polishing the patch was "virtually" invisible. Oh how proud I was! Then I had to start replaced the rotted floor and stringers, etc...but's that's another story.
You can Do-o-o-o it man!

The place I need to repair is only the size of a quarter, so hopefully it will not be tooÂ*traumatic.Â*

Denny, I did in deed hook up the tuner, and it worked very well, too well in fact, I could not seem to keep my foot out of it, and was worried about the warranty being cancelled, so I took it off several months ago.

So right now it's the size of a quarter, after you work on it will it be a quarter of the jet ski? Man I miss Darin, where is my help when I need it? Just making fun Mark!

I know what you mean. My F-250 is quick off the line or in trafficwithout a tuner. I'm sure if I had a tuner, I would either lose my license or run into warranty issues. I wish it had better pulling at mid-throttle towing, especially uphill.
