We have been owners of our Cruiser since August 29, 2009. There have been so many good memories and a couple not so good. When we suffered the blowouts at the end of October we thought our RVing days were over. After the dust settled we began to think logically. As we get older and we have more health issues we decided to try to simplify things just a bit. Here is what we have decided and done.

First, we decided to sell our Cruiser and look for something a bit more on the "just for two people" concept. We have sold our Cruiser to a very nice young couple with small children. The floor plan of our Cruiser is perfect for young families wishing to take a long or short trip. On Saturday we bid our friend of three years "goodbye". It is in good condition with all repairs made by ExploreUSA San Antonio plus four new tires. If they have half as much enjoyment as did we then it will be a whole lot.

Second, to make life a bit easier in regard to setup, take down and a few other things we started exploring Class A gas motorhomes. Our final choice was between a certain model of Fleetwood Bounder and Winnebago Vista/Itasca Sunstar 35F. We think we did significant research and shopping and finally purchased a new 2013 Itasca Sunstar 35F. The MH is similar to the Cruiser in that both are around 35' long, each has a 1/2 bath and two slides. In addition the Sunstar has full body paint, two a/c heat pumps, 50 amp service, a 5,500 watt genny, rear and side cameras, etc. It also has a fully automatic leveling system, Press a button and the coach will level itself. Shake is gone for the most part. If I sound excited I am. On Monday, we are picking it up from the Camping World store in Katy, TX.

I intend to lurk on here and add my $.02 from time to time. I can honestly say that you folks are the very best that RVing has to offer. It was rare to post a question and not have a response within an hour, usually more than one.

See you on here and down the road. Happy RVing to y'all (he says with a Philly accent)!

Art....It has been fun and thanks for all the answers and your experiences. I too may be going that route in a few years. Like you, I like this forum and the people on it. Doing the Texas rally in 2010 was great and meeting forum members was even better. Good luck in all your future endeavors.

Art,
Best of luck in your new endeavour. I hope your new unit brings you all the joy you had from your Cruiser. I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you some day down the road...the DW and I start our travels this April and we will be visiting all 50 states so I hope to meet any and all members who would like to sit down and enjoy some banter over a cup of coffee...

Best of luck,
Jim

Enjoy your new unit and happy camping. Hope it meets all your expectations.
I'm sure the unit you sold was in great shape and the purchaser will be very happy.
Enjoyed meeting you in Texas in 2010 at the rally

Art-

Congrats on your new rig. Glad to see you'll still be lurking on the forum.

We've been paying more and more attention to the ease and quickness of set-up when a class A pulls in next to us..especially in the rain. We're making plans to head out for our sixth season in the Sunset Trail come April. Haven't found a really good reason to change to something else. Now that I think about it a little more, we are going to the Denver RV show next Wednesday.

Wishing you all the best Art. Maybe if we get down your way this year we can get together for a cup of coffee.

Frank-

I have two local sources for Abita...one is a liquor store and the other is the newly opened Lost Cajun restaurant. Yeehaw!

We have a new grocery store that just opened, It is a cost plus ten percent store. I can get Abita there for 2.00 a six pack less than in Abita Springs
