Just thought I'd post this in case any new campers are out there. Even if you're on a 50-amp hook up, if the wife uses her hair dryer and the air conditioner comes on....something is gonna pop. Usually it's the sites box and easily reset by just "flipping the switch". But in some cases, the campground has the fuse box locked and you'll need to call them to reset the breaker. This all will seem like your camper has poped, because you will still have some lights (but these are from the battery)....just a lesson learned that we thought we'd pass along.

Take a look at how your circuit breaker panel is wired. Our cruiser had the a/c and front and back outlet breakers all on the same leg of the 50 amp service. I moved the front outlets (included the bathroom outlet) to the other leg of the 50 amp service and have never had a problem with those types of problems.

Same here, never had a problem like that. We have had both AC units kicking on and off, water heater on electric, main TV on and my wife using the hair dryer and never popped a breaker in the trailer or on the power pedestal.

It's just math... 20 /30 / 50 amps to play with, in perfect conditions (ambient air temp).
A/C 15-20AMps, hair dryer 8-12amps, electric wh. 8-12 amps, lights

I agree, it is just math. It also has to do with how it is distributed on each leg of the 50 amp service. Crossroads doesn't seem to pay particular attention to balancing the load between the two 50 amp legs.

Had the same problem with my 2013 Cruiser Aire (30 Amp)Our fix was to turn the electric water heater off when using the dryer. Seemed to be a workable fix for now. I dread being on a electric system with out an independent breaker. Mostly it's the 30 amp inside that trips. We really don't use the microwave much, that would be another big amp draw if other appliances are on.

We add amps. Learned years ago on our first camper. Threw half the campground ... Not more than 3 big appliances
