help me decide-winterization?

He's the situation-south Louisiana, and I like to keep the camper ready to go.
The 10 day hourly forecast calls for a 4 hour freeze spell Monday morning 31 to 29 degrees between 4am and 8am.
No freeze at all outside of that for 10 days.

Would you winterize, or not?

If that turned out to be correct----no I wouldn't.
You know the old saying tho---Better safe then sorry.
If you have an air compressor or access to one, why not just blow the lines out. Then you don't have to worry and no pink stuff to flush out.

I really don't think that you will have a problem. All I did was open the low point water drains, drained the water heater and left the faucets open. I also drained the fresh water tank. It wasn't necessary but I did it anyway. I have added anti-freeze to the toilet and p-traps a couple of times in the past when the temps were forecast to be in the mid to low 20's for a couple of days.

I just drain the water out and leave the faucets open. If it is going to be below freezing for more than three days I will add antifreeze in the drain traps. Oh yea I do turn off the AC

Thanks, decided to err on safety. Drained and blew out all lines, and added a dollop of anti freeze to all drains.

What I've done here in dfw is blow out everything, and just set the furnaces to 45 while plugged in.... does not protect the small orifices, but we'll see ...

And ya know, having had the previous redwood 5er freeze and break the shower and icemaker lines, you'd think I would be paranoid about it, but....

I pumped anti freeze into the jayco I have for sale. Blew the sunset trail out with my air compressor since we're leaving in 2 weeks for Florida and I didn't want to have to deal with running the anti freeze out of the lines once we get there. Also put anti freeze into traps on sunset trail.

Anti freeze method is much faster than blowing it out with air. I'll probably add anti freeze to the sunset trail on our way back from Florida at our overnight in Valdosta Ga right before we leave there.

I live in New Orleans so I don't think much about winterizing. Is this a special antifreeze you'll use or is it the regular automotive anitfreeze?

Ha ha, I'm in Baton Rouge. When I was winterizing Sunday I was looking around at all the rv's thinking "am I the only one worried about this?"

Oh well, rather be safe than sorry.
