I think this may have been asked before but I can't find it. Is there a hot water heater drain plug replacement available with a valve to allow frequent drainage? A while back my wife had surgery and several weeks later developed a severe infection requiring surgical intervention. We were just thinking about it recently and thought about the water sitting in the 10 gal hot water heater. We went on an RV trip about a week after her surgery. It was extremely warm weather and the hot water heater I assume still had 10 gallons of old water in it. After heated and then set for two weeks I'm assuming the water is not exactly sterile. Of course I have no idea if that's what caused the infection but we would feel a lot more comfortable about using that water if we could drain it after each outing. Any ideas?
