Hot Water Heater Questions
I’m a new owner of a 2006 Crossroads Zinger 24FB. It has an electric/propane hot water heater. I have it hooked up to city water but can’t figure out how to fill the heater or the tank. I’m guessing there is a bypass somewhere based on some research but I have no idea where that would be on my model.
TIA

The valve for winterizing is normally located inside the trailer right next to the water heater. It's probably turned to the winterizing position and won't allow water into the tank.

Oh boy… is it bad that I don’t know how to see my tank like you can? I don’t have a manual and none of the obvious ways seem to get me there. Naturally I can find the heater…

Find the water heater on the outside of your trailer. Then go inside and it will be some where on the inside wall, directly opposite the outside location.

So… across the rig, under the ‘couch’ near where the water comes in and the pump is… is this… would it be at this T?

You need to access the back of the water heater. That is to add rv antifreeze to the camper. The by pass is on the back of the water heater

Somewhere on the outside of the trailer you should find a cover like the one in this photo. That is where your hot water heater is located. It should be behind some panel or under something inside the trailer where this cover is located.

I found it - you’ve all been extremely helpful. So, right behind the heater is a floor to ceiling cabinet. In the bottom is a panel that was screwed ‘shut’ and taking that panel out exposed the tank. So, again, thank you!
Better news is the heater works well too! Which is what I was trying to prove.

That's great you found it, and it works.
Sorry I had to leave you stranded here this morning, (Dr appointments) but the other mods stepped in and talked you thru the rest of it.
By the way, Welcome aboard and congrats on that new to you camper.

You have to be a little handy and a little brave to be searching in and around your Rv. Glad you were helped here on our forum.
