Hurricane Prepareness

Hurricane Harvey is approaching Texas and then is suppose to come to Louisiana. We had our camper since March of this year, but never experience big storms with it yet, and asking anybody have any tips to prepare it for high winds, and heavy rain. I am thinking at least fill all three tanks to give it more weight. I have no way of tying it down. Anybody have any tips to help secure it. We do have insurance on it, but I always believed in preventive measures.
Thanks,
SJSS

Filling all 3 tanks was a good tip though.

If you figure you are going to be in the path of Harvey, the extra weight you will gain filling those tanks won't do much good as far as I'm concerned.
It seems like those big storms toss loaded semi's around like toys.
I guess I would hook onto the rig and head north.
Good luck down there.

born and raised in Baton Rouge, La so had a few close encounters...
Leaving is your best bet -
Come up to dfw and park next to our house
Barring that - park it as close to the downwind side of the tallest building you can...

Course, everyone else will too - good luck !!!

Best preventative measure is to get out of the path of the storm. Head north. Don't worry about personal belongings they can be replaced.

Thank yall, for the info, we are watching it , and already went into texas coast, and all our prayers are with those. If we have to we would certainly head out away from its path. But as of now we keeping an eye on it.
Thanks yall

I agree with Lloyd & JB2...If you are near the coast baton down the house and take that camper you and your wife north away from the high winds and flood waters.....God speed...
