.... and nobody is there, does it make a sound???

And if you cut a turn too sharp with your 5'er, and you get the nose into the backof the cab, shouldn't it make one hel* of a sound that would make you rip the steering wheel off the column?

Took the Cruiser out Thursdayfor a shake down trip before our trip to Destin. I made some sharp turns in the campgropund, but all left handed. The front cap has contacted the upper corner of the passenger side of the cab, left a good dent just above the rearglass, but unbelievably no damage to the cap or even the moulding excepta colorless streak on the cap. Yeah, OK, "...Ed just doesn't want to own up to it...", but seriously, wouldn't you hear that??? DW doesn't pull the trailer, and the only other driver has been the tech at Camping world, which I had it there Thursday for the Dometic recall, and they backed the rig out of the shop while I was spending money. Not looking to pass blame, but wouldn't you hear the contact when the cap hits the cab???

Anybody who has "accidentally" tested this theory, please let us know what you heard!

COME ON ED, I heard that clear over here in northern WI. No just kidding. Sorry to hear you had some damage.
Just something to think about------ If you made all left hand turns, I don't think you could have hit the cab on the passenger side!!

You may not hear a "bump" that would dent but if it was real tight it would bust out the rear window. I agree that if all you made were left turns I would have a talk with camping world.

Just don't go in the store! It'll cost you $400 if you do that!

Nope. You won't hear it when you just make a dent. Been there and done that. But I went far enough to brake the window. Yep it was a $400 lesson, nowI tell myselfuse the slider dummy!!

You guessed it...did not slide the hitch... and NO sound, even though "the tree fell". was lucky... the small dent was removed at a low cost of $150.00. Now the wife INSISTS that the slide be moved as she has to figure out how to pay the bills.

Does your dent look like mine. Look at the roof seam on the drivers side. Oh yeah, the rear window is broken too.

I have a ding in the same place but i know it wasent from the 5er I have a tonneau cover like Hamops and had parked the wrong way in a big wind. needless to say it was a lesson i wont forget i believe the top brake light assemblywas about 75$ and the dent will probably never leave.

I didn’t hear the corner hit, but my daughter did. Her exact words “What’s that squeaking? It was the corner hitting the rear window weather stripping. I too now have the 5er dent tattoo.

Hey Chris, I got out cheap at $170!!! Just wish I was watching them back the rig out of the shop so I could escape the blame too! Not to say allI made were left turns, just the tight ones whereI would worry about the contact. And since I'm 250 miles and 4 days after my CW visit, I doubt I doubt theres a chance on getting them to fess up....

George - Yes same kind of dent in the opposite corner, but I have my hitch mounted a bit high so the section just below the corner contatced the cab. Still have the back glass though.I just have to wash the truck to find out if the seam or window will leak.......
