intellijack problems

I have a switch on the landing gear that has gone bad. The phone number on the Intellijack box is not in service. I am trying to find a magnetic switch that mounts on the leg of the landing gear. it seems it was mounted to tight to the top and shorted out, will not go down with out crossing the wires.
Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks Woody

I have been wondering the same thing - thinking of ordering a spare set.

I had a problem with the wire to the top "plate". The wire was pinched against the leg - I taped it up - works now. My problem caused the retract function to stopped working.

I sent an email to ervparts@ervparts.com

My research today:

I found out that there are 2 grease zerks on the landing leg (2 on each side) - top portion. Gave them a couple of shots of grease today. I had to remove one of the zerks and clean it up before it would accept grease. They had painted over the grease zerk.

The motor on our landing gear - Venture modle 8532-07, 12 Vdc - 5500 rpm

replacement Motor – LG-142178

replacement Gear – LG-179015

retract/extend Switch – LG-145236 - - if I want to get rid of the Intelljacks - if the unit fails.

I ordered a switch ($62.05 - Stromberg Carlson LG-145236 IP Rated Switch). It comes with the wiring harness and an in-line 30 amp fuse.

What I found on the "net" - may have been here:

Just make sure you use a double pole double throw rocker switch and not a regular rocker switch. You will need to be able to reverse the motor and you can't do that with a standard rocker switch.

It's an easy swap, you have 4 wires going into the control box (positive, ground & 2 wires coming from the motor). Just remove the plug from the control box and either cut off plug or find where the wires are spliced and remove splices and wire to switch like diagram I posted. Just that simple. If you are planning on reusing the control box again I recommend leaving enough wire to re-splice the plug if needed. I hope this helps.
