Inverter on While Trailering

I've finally obtained everything I need to install my 2500W inverter. In light of some of the recent posts about traveling with propane on for the refrigerator, I was wondering if anyone travels with their inverter on and runs their refrigerator on electricity instead.

I think they do. Some of the new upper end 5th wheels and MH have a residential fridge. So they have to travel with the inverter working.

What brand inverter did you get? Does it have the battery charger built in?
2500 watt is a nice size inverter.

No, it doesn't have a charger built in. I bought it years ago to put on my boat, but never did. It is a Delco. One of the things I was waiting on to arrive was a 100 amp N.O. relay rated for continuous use that I am putting in between the existing charger and the battery. I'm going to wire it so it closes when the shore power side of the transfer switch is energized.
