Question Jensen ANWPB Antenna/cable switch problems

Hello all,

Having problems with my Jensen ANWPB Antenna booster/cable switch. Antenna works fine when needed, power light glows all is well on antenna. When switching to cable, power light remains on and no cable passes through. I have verified the cabling inside the Cruiser is good by disconnecting the cable input from the Jensen ANWPB and connecting straight to the tv. Good strong clear picture then. I have also discovered that disconnecting the power lead on the rear of the Jensen ANWPB while in cable position allows cable to go through and of course the light goes out since there is no power.
Question, Anyone else with a Jensen ANWPB, does your power light remain on when in cable?

Looked on Jensen's web page and apparently these are not produced anymore.

What do you have in your rigs if you don't have a Jensen ANWPB?

Help Please!!

Thanks in advance!

Is there little button around the light to turn it off so the cable will work.

The only button on it is marked ANT / OFF / CABLE Of course when it is in off there is no light or signal output. I don't ever remember the light being on when it was in cable mode before, but since it is mounted BEHIND the tv I can't be sure. I do remember that previous rigs we have owned the light wasn't on in cable mode. This one DID work in cable mode until about two months ago.

It is normal, and appropriate, to have to turn off the power switch, which removes power from the antenna amplifier, when hooked to cable. The cable is normally far weaker, especially in campgrounds with many splitters, than the output of the amplified TV antenna, and thus gets shut out. At home, or a place with strong cable, the cable MIGHT get through, but it is not expected to with the amplifier switch on.

Marty in SC. That's what I thought too, but when I place the switch to cable, the amp light comes back on. the only time it is off is the center off position and I don't get anything

Quick update, I heard back from Jensen and the light is supposed to be on when in cable mode, and they believe that mine is faulty. Unfortunately they don't sell them anymore. Anyone have a suggestion for a replacement?
