Jensen sound sysem

Our 2010 Cruiser has the Jensen sound system. Only about half of the 8 speakers work or else cut out all the time. I have taken down some of the speakers and replaced the connectors but the problem keeps getting worse. I have removed the stereo and checked the rear connections and don't see anything loose, etc. Has anybody else out there had this problem and found a fix? Also, even with a roof mount antenna the radio reception is very bad.

I only have 4 speakers, two inside and two outside and they work well. But I have the Jensen ANHD20 Omni-directional antenna and definitely feel your pain for FM reception! I am very much looking into getting a separate dedicated FM antenna.

Question: Did they work when you first took delivery of the trailer? You may have a problem with grounding of the wires caused by staples, nails (caused during construction), or wire run may be chafing against a moving part (slide?). You may want to have an audio specialist check the wire runs for this. Point to remember, these Jensen units (I have one), were picked from the deep end of the audio equipment gene pool....

At the back of the Jensen switch the speakers to see if the other 4 not playing will work. That will tell you if it a wiring problem or a Jensen radio problem.
