I just got done installing my rearview camera and I'm ready to tackle the Strong Arms. The first thing I did was look for a place to connect the front inside stabilizers. I don't see anyting under there strong enough to attach them to.

If you've installed Strong Arms on a 2010 30SK I could sure use some pointers.

Mine aren't JT's brand, but I ran a piece of angle iron across the front to provide a solid anchor for thecenter struts.

I mounted mine, I have J.T.'s, to the metal floor in front of the spare tire. I did not have to move the spare tire mount, however when you drop the spare it helps to guide it to leave and inch or two of space.

Thanks for the information. Even though the instructions said that you can mount to the metal floor it just didn't look solid enough. I guess if it's working OK for you I'll give it a go. I could always run a piece of angle iron later like BDLuke did if it doesn't feel solid enough.

I had the dealer put the spare tire on the rear bumper. I just couldn't imagine trying to get that tire out from underneath on a dirty busy road in the rain. You do realize that's when Murphy guarantees you'll get a flat?

I have one more question for you, where did you mount the front stabilizers that go along the side of the trailer? It looks like there is a metal strip that holds the bottom cover in place that screws into the frame. Did you have to remove some of that metal strip or did you put them somewhere else?

There was a couple of places where I had to remove the metal strip when I installed my stabilizers (UltraFab Eliminators). I used a little cut off wheel on my dremel toolto remove the sections. The bigger problem I had was working around the propane line running along the frame on the curb side.

Howdy

I have a 09 30sk .I fastened 2 12/12 pieces of 1/8" steel plates on either side of the basement floor & attached the inside stablizers to it...seems to working ok. As for the sides I attached them directly to the I-beam frame. hopes this helps

Mine are also attached to the outside I-beam frame. The rear stabilizersstruts we had to cut the metal trim just like Patrick.

I attached the front inside brackets to the floor as far forward as I could get them. It is plenty firm enough. There really isn't all that much pressure on them. Front sides attach to the frame just like other folks. On the rear I replaced the thin U channel crossmember with a heavier piece of angle iron ( 1 1/4 X 1 1/4 X 1/4 thick if I recall). Then attached the inside rear mounts to it.

This weekend I installed Steady Fast Stabilizers. http://www.steadyfast.com/ They are he best thing that I have ever done for the camper. We did not have any movement after the install. 3 bars do prove to be better than 6.

I mounted my side struts to the I-beam as well but i didn't have to cut any metal trim because I mounted my rear struts to the metal crossmember in front of the rear bumper.
