Locking jaws painted a bright red, padlock on the hitch and the hitch padlocked to the truck's bed.Checked every time I get into or out of the truck. I thought I was being overly cautious, but now I feel better.

Chris
I don't hook up the TV to the 5er until I'm ready to tow. I wonder if your neighbor ever gave a thought to the fact he could have killed you and whom ever was rideing with you I like to think that people like that GET THEIRS in the end

I don't think, or at least I hope he didn't think of the fact that what he did could of not only seriously hurt someone if not killed someone. You took the words right out of my mouth about people who do this stuff will get theirs in the end.

Chris,
Really sorry to hear all of this. Like you I am a bit trusting but now will be more vigilant. I do use a lock now, but only because the cotter pin originally in my Reese snapped on me so I bought something I knew would be stronger and a harder steel. Little did I know. If this was 30 years ago I could have made a call and your neighbor's house would be gone in a flash, but those days are long gone. He'll get his in the end, it always comes around. Oh, and make no mistake about it, he did it...as sure as we're all typing on this post he did it!

Be well Chris,
Jim

I would have a sewer connection installed, along with a electrical pedestal. Leave it parked there all the time......maybe use it for a guest house. Make the neighbor sorry they ever complained.

That's the best idea I have ever heard. Of course install a couple of infared game cameras first when he's not around. Then put up a couple of obvious dummy surveillance in places where he can avoid them by walking into the game cameras, make sure he's watching that installation. Once set up, park it and start watching.

Saw your first post and can understand where you are coming from. Some people think the whole D---- neighborhood should be theirs to look after as they see it should be. Sorry for your mishap and hope your unit did not get damaged just remember what goes around comes around. Your day will come.

Well, finally received the estimates to get everything fixed

Truck: $5,000.00
5ver: $2,000.00

Plus being out of business for a couple weeks during some of the best camping weather.

Man Chris...sorry to hear of this incident!

It isn't like you have some 1970 P.O.S. sitting in the drive...

We stayed away from Deed restrictions for this reason. I hope you catch the guy, but hope that nothing else serious happens!

If your neighbor is so concerned about property values maybe a couple of water balloons filled with vegetation killer tossed intohis yard at night will give him the boost he needs..
