Pretty sure this has been raised before but.....we are going to be camped at a non-sewer campground for two weeks. I have a brand new Barker 42 gallon blueboy. My thought is to leave the valve for the gray water open so that the blueboy fills first then close the valve until the gray tank fills. This should not be an issue, correct? I am very familiar with black tank procedure and I thought I read someplace that no harm is done by an open gray valve.

Weve done b4 while camping with no issues, but close it to save a little to rinse out the the hose after black water dump...

Personally, I would leave all the valves closed and then manually fill the blue boy as you need to. I would hate to overfill the Blue Boy with the hose attached by accident and then try to deal with a full blue boy AND full hose. My 2 cents.

Advice taken. The blueboy is sitting under the RV, unattached. I'll wait until the tanks are near to dump.
