Lino cracked

We live in Canada and get temperatures to -40 in the winter. This winter our Lino cracked -bad- and we will need to replace it. Has anyone had this issue? Did you replace with another Lino? Has anyone tried laminate flooring? Concerned about laminate separating?
We have a permanent site so the trailer does not go up and down the road so no worries there. It’s just the temperatures that are a concern.

My Lino did that too, here in Calgary in the first year. I bought a one piece remnant vinyl flooring that worked perfectly. Still working great, here is are before and after photos.

Flooring Repair

I had floor damage due to a leak and had to replace the linolium as well. Lowes has remnants so you can pretty much find the size you need. It is time consuming, you need to take everything up, and use some glue, but it is not hard to do. You and also use the flat metal transition strips to just do a section as I had to from the bedroom to the bathroom.

We also had our lino crack right down the middle, from the front to the back. I cut out the We bought sticky back lino Vinyl tile, and after removing the existing lino, installed the Vinyl tile. use a chalk line and snap a straight line down the middle, as nothing was square inside. Took all day as almost every piece needed a cut out. a few pieces were sacrificed in the learning process. Looked awesome when complete.

It was a tedious process that I worked on over several days.
