Longevity of today’s mfg’d coaches- how long do they last?
<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />
Ok, just found a pic of my parents 78 falcon 38ft unit. It was 1992 when mom sold it. Park models should last longer, but I have never read articles on older travel coaches I mean the real life ones that are used for travelling not shows.

What are the symptoms or maintenance clues that say,... its time for a new one.

The reason I ask, we just purchased a 2013 Sunset trail reserve and we are parking it very close by in a park for now just because we will need a new tow vehicle in a few years. So will this trailer last 25yrs sitting in a park?
How long to the travelling types last that goes out every year?

Regards,
Marv

Don't think newer rv's will last like the old ones. The quality just isn't there. I think I have read somewhere you are probably gonna get 5-10 yrs out of today's units (industry wide) if you are lucky, Even the ones built 2-4 yrs ago have better quality than some of the junk rolling off the lies these days, They are mass produced on a production line where workers are compensated for quantity and not quality. The quality controls have been lacking too. Again this is industry wide.

Funny, I had this exact conversation last night. We have been in our 29ss for the last 2 months and I'm really surprised with the lack of robustness. I suspect that a year or two down the road, maintenance issues will be constant. Really too bad. Built for aesthetics. Kind of like Chinese made crap that looks good.
