Mattress Replacement Suggestions

I'm looking to replace the mattress that came with '17 Sunset Tail. Any recommendations on a brand/model? Thanks.

I'm sure that you will get responses for different brand and models of mattresses. But what someone else likes does not relate to what you would like. Personally, I would not buy a mattress without testing it for my liking. So, maybe the best bet for you is to go out to mattress stores and try them out.

Yours will be a regular sized queen mattress,so just buy one like you would for your home. Or add a 3' topper like i did , it works great for me. Remember if you get a heavy mattress ,you may have to add another shock to your lifter(to access your under bed storage)

Go on line to "rv mattresses " & (sorry it's been 2-3 years & don't remember the site) we found a memory foam that was 10" thick & was the best mattress we've ever slept on. It came rolled up in about a 12" diameter plastic bag & took about 8 hours to completely expand & was about a 1/3 of the price of any mattress store.

We bought a Zinus 10", INNER SPRING mattress through Amazon a couple of months ago. It's a short queen, and cost us about $300. It's great, supports the two of us, full-sized couple, like a hotel bed. It came rolled up in a box originally from China, unrolled like a lifeboat in front of our eyes inside the camper. No smell, and laid flat after one night. We're very happy with it. The struts underneath still lift the bed, but just barely. I can see needing a prop stick in a few years to hold it up. The thing weighs 80lbs.
Sadly, Amazon no longer lists this item, but shop around and you might find it. If you get to the Zinus website, watch their unrolling video.

We did the same thing. Was called Tuft & Needle. Very good mattress!

We got the same mattress as we did in the house for the redwood, so there was no difference between home and camping

now in the coach we have a sleep number and the jury is still out on that

I put a Sleep Number in ours - after DW's ultimatum (we have one at home too). Took about 2 hours to install the pump and hoses. It also decreased weight by a lot!

That's what I thought too. Until wife said New bed means new pillows new. Down blanket and bed spread.
Now it weighs twice as much. Had to add 2 more gas cartrages to hold bed up
