I know dryer sheets are supposed to deter mice and everyone recommends Bounce brand, but my wife is allergic to Bounce. Will other brands work or is it the perfume in the Bounce that acts as the deterrent?

Hi, personally we think its the perfume in the sheet itself as we use just about any dryer sheet that we have on hand. we also (this might sound strange) take two boxes of moth balls and scatter them on the ground underneath the trailer when we put it into storage...this way it doesnt affect the smell of the inside of your trailer but keeps away those pesky critters during the winter months. have been doing this since 2003 and never had a mouse problem...and we live on a farm. hope this helps!

- Bay leaves work as well. And they're cheaper!
