Do you have other things running at the same time?
Like -- AC, coffee maker, etc? You more then likely are putting to much load on the breaker, or it's a weak breaker. If you can search out what all is operating on that particular breaker you would know what you can and can't run at the same time.
How old is your trailer?

If you could put your trailer info in your sig. it will help our members better answer your questions.
Some questions pertain to certain trailers. Having the info in your sig will eliminate the need for asking for it.

A 30 amp service will definetly trip the breaker when using both the micro and AC. Even a 50 amp service will trip sometimes, depending on the load. Follow Lloyds advice to see what is causing the trip.

Can we assume you are talking about the breaker in the rig not the one on the pedestal outside?

Not my experience, Mark. In both this, and the last camper, each with 30 amp feed, I had no problem at all running both. I was told that was precisely the thought behind the 30 amp RV plug. Of course we're talking about properly wired 30 amp outlets, not shortcuts, adapters, smaller-than-proper cords, etc.
As to the OP, we can't tell. Unless he gives us a model, tells us which CB he's talking about, we once again spend a whole thread speculating on what might be.

Unplug the microwave from the inside wall of the trailer, and plug it straight into a heavy 20 amp (normal prong) extension cord. Then plug the cord into a household outlet, or one at the campsite that you're not using.
If that trips a circuit breaker, your microwave is shot.
If it works fine that way, you have an overloaded camper circuit.

I've never had a problem running the AC and Microwave at the same time in any camper I've owned.

Which breaker is tripping? The microwave, the main or the feed coming in from the pedestal?

Is your water heater set to electric or propane? Sometimes the breaker will blow out when the AC or micro is on if the water heater cuts in. Just a thought.

I wish people who post their questions would respond with a note of conclusion to the issue. Seems this forum has a lot of people who ask but never respond again.

Good post Stan. I have felt the same way many times.
Some times I think we are responding to a bot.

Yes, it's a real joy when somebody says, "thanks! That did it!" They can be real persistent when asking questions, but when they find out the truth, you don't know what they did.

Yep, their one and only post.
Ask a question, take it in to get it fixed, and wait until next issue before repeating the process.
Who'll be next?
