New Member...needs help

Hello,

I am a new member and just bought a 2012 Crossroads Sunset Trails 29SS. When you swivel the TV there is a switch in the ceiling that says "air, off, cable". There is a little light that I believe is red that should come on in order for the antenna to read. My light is not coming on therefore I am not getting any reception. The fuse is good. Any ideas on what is going on?

Thanks!

NL

If the red is on, then the electronic signal booster is on and you can watch over the air TV from your antenna. If the switch is moved to the cable position, the booster light should go off and now you can watch cable TV. Not sure why the light isn't coming on at all. It only takes 12v to power the box.

I am not sure either? What box are you speaking of for a 12v? I can't get any channels so I assume it's because the booster is not working?

On mine, you press the light to turn on the cable booster.

The electronics for the booster is in a small box behind the cover plate. Your TV coaxial cables go into this box as well as your antenna coax. When you turn on the switch, the 12v power amplifies the TV signal from your antenna and sends the signal to all of your TV's. Look up on the internet for winegard booster and read up on it. Also make sure your TV is in the correct mode and input for receiving TV signals from either the antenna or cable.

You should get broadcast tv channels even with the booster off if close enough to tower. Look closely at the wires, & connections with the plate hanging free out of the ceiling. 12v tester / meter may help. Boards with burn marks are seldom functional. Pretty cheap to replace if need be. Happy Trails

This is mine but as you can see the red light will not come on. Any ideas why it's not getting power?

Pull it off the wall and check for any loose, broken or disconnected wires on the back. While accessible check for 12v on the power lead to it.

I see there is a fuse on yours. Have you checked that for continuity?

Thank you! I found out that the booster switch itself was bad.
