Been about 12 days in 3 separate trips. This weekend DW wants a trip on the Harleyso I guess I will keep her happy. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. Week after nextwe are shooting for 3 nights at TurkeyRun State Park for some canoeing, hiking and swimming before the kids have togo back to school.

Speaking of bowhunting trips, I grew up in Utah and the bowhunt was an annual boys weekend out event. Last one before moving to Denver there were 38 of us. Needless to say, there was much beer consumed, poker played, lies told around the campfire, and, oh yes, bagged one deer. Great fun and miss the old buddies.

Coastn, We would never think about all that partying. Just hiking our tails off from O dark thirty to dusk every day.
Well that might be a bit of a stretch. We do consume a few adult beverages when were not hunting. Also have a few social events as we have built up a pretty list of friends in the area over our 35 years of hunting in Utah. And of course there is alwaysthe annual venison liver feast at the end. But we do hit it pretty hard until we get one.

OOPs, I just read my last post. It should have said a "pretty GOOD" list of friends. There is nothing pretty about my friends! Except the ladies of course!
Think I will just shut up while I'm behind.

We have only been able to camp for 6 nights
Was hoping to go this weekend but looks like rain. This year lost all of my vacation...you know cut backs. I was a dumb*** and bought our first travel trailer this year. Oh well we will have it for years to come I hope.
Lets go camping!!

Well with having to take a disability/retirement and not being able to do too many other things, I might even reach 200 nights this year!! Most have been without the DW too!!

5th is all cleaned out. Season is over for us. Still have to winterize and take it to dealer for the little things that were not quite right, probably do that next week. It was a great year, we learned so much. The most important thing we learned is that we like camping in our Seville a whole lot more than in our little 2 man tent. We set a goal of 40 nights, and ended up with 50. We are very happy with that. We went down south and visited several states in one trip. Will do that again in the spring. And we went to a lot of local camping areas within a few hour drive from our home. Next spring we will probably do a shorter route with fewer stops, so we can enjoy the places more. This year we pulled our trailer almost 8500 miles. That is responsible for half of the total miles on my truck. The Cummins now gets about 10 mpg towing, so that is looking up too. Just put the trailer away, and already we cannot wait for next season.

I am not sure if the final tally was 75 or 77 nights, I was shooting for 80 nights, our seasonal lot costs us 3200.00 (cdn) per year and that would make it around 40.00 a night which I feel was reasonable since we don't have the added expensive of any gas for towing.

Geez Frank, I only had about 4dog house nights so far this year. One of my better summers in a few years. But did do 20 more back yard camping nights during the remodel (which is not quite done yet). And since tomorrow I am leaving for the annual Flaming Brand Campout, this is the one with just the guys, there might be a couple more doghouse nights when I get back. All depends on how the poker game goes.... . If I come home with enough to pay the last invoice . If not, doghouse

Let's see. I race offroad bikes. For each event, we typically spend two or three nights in the camper. Been to over 20 events this year. Also hit Hershey Park after an event in PA. Nice campground. Hit Ocracoke for a week. Still have about ten more events to hit this year. Also hit a few national MX events just for fun.

Returned yesterday from 36 nights and 5300 miles out on third trip of the year. Total this year: 87 nights. Will try for 100+ next year. Wife's outside cleaning out the trailer. I'll go out and winterize and take it to storage for the winter this afternoon. Temp is currently 38. Sad.
