No hot water

We have a Sunset Trail 33RL. First time out after the winter. Everything is hooked up but we can't get hot water. Tried both electric and gas switches for the hot water heater with same results. If we turn a hot water faucet on, hot water will come through for a few seconds and then go cold.

I'm assuming I have valves in the wrong position from de-winterizing as hot water was working fine on the unit all last year. See images below.

This image is our hot water heater. Both valves are parallel to the water lines. I believe this opens both.

This image is our water pump. One valve is parellel to the line. The valve for the winterizing bypass is perpendicular.

These are the only valves I could find. Please advise as to what I'm doing wrong or if I am missing anything.

Close the bypass valve behind the heater. That's the one that connects red/hot to blue/cold. It should be closed during normal operation, to route the cold water through, not around, the water heater. Great pics, btw!

Exactly what "McHale" said...the red to blue valve should be closed. Easy way to remember is that both valves go left to right or both valves go up and down.

I might sound a little crazy here, but check the outdoor shower. Make sure both valves are off and not just the thumb shut off with both valves open. Both H & C must be turned off.

Fixing the blue to red valve did it. Thanks for the advice. I knew it was something simple I was doing wrong.
