Cool Norcold issue

We have a 2013 Sunset Trail 30RK. There is an erratic clicking sound, like a relay, coming from the control board, not the ignitor, when the refrigerator is in auto mode. Over a weekend of camping connected to 30A power the battery is too low to pull in the slide. I have replaced the control board but it still makes the sound. Has anyone experienced this issue?

If you were connected to 120V service and the battery is low, then it sounds more like the problem may be with the converter in the power distribution system. It sounds like it isn't putting out 12V. Are the fuses okay?

My trailer doesnt even need a battery installed to operate the slides. So it may be the converter breaker being off. Check the 110 v breaker to see if it is ok. If you are leary of electric stuff, have an electricial help.

Simple converter test - Plug camper in to 110 - disconnect battery - turn on any light. If they light the converter is working at least enough to light the light if not check the 110 breaker for the converter to see if it is tripped.

As Harley stated my slides work without a battery connected as long as i am plugged in to 110. I take the battery out as part of my winterizing process and then charge it every other month or so in the shop. If the wife needs to open a slide turn on the breaker in the shop for the camper.

Did the refrigerator make the noise with a GOOD charged battery? Also is it cooling ok?

My experience is that slide motors are all 12V dependent. Three scenarios come to mind. If not on shore power the battery may be bad or poorly charged. If on shore power the converter may be bad. Third and harder to trace is that there is a poor connection in the junction box that feeds the slide motors.

Update,
I have taken the trailer to a local dealer. They are saying that the upper limit switch has failed. Hopefully this is the correct diagnosis.
I’ll let you know. Thanks for the great responses.

Update on the Norcold. The dealer had to contact Norcold and after multiple conversations decided the problem was something like “fantom?” power from the 120V system. The dealer replaced the Optical Board. This appears to have fixed the issue. Thanks for your suggestions!
