Nordcold warranty replacement

Hello,
I’ve been waiting over 7 months for the dealership to do the warranty replacement for the fridge in my RV. Took the RV in, in July, the replacement was “approved” in August and we are still waiting. Been pretty annoying not having a fridge and pretty disheartening to hear “I’ll call you when we have it” ever time we call for any kind of update.

Is this a normal timeframe for a replacement? And is there anything I can do to push it along?

Any information would be nice.

Thank you

Watched something the other day showing campers that were built with holes in the side that were covered because they are waiting on certain appliances like water heaters / furnaces/ and some were even waiting on windows.

So under these circumstances the appliance manufacture will send any stock to the camper manufacturers before any sent for warranty.

Last year we ordered replacement landing gear legs for our 5th wheel. One came in in less than a week including shipping the other one took over 3 months. We were told by the jack manufacture - Stromberg Carlson- that factory orders were filled first.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear but we are in some very different times. Also not saying this applies to your situation but it is something to be aware of. Best of luck.

I mean at this point, hearing that I’m probably not being jerked around too much is somewhat comforting.

The shipping and transport issues in United States are probably hold up parts for the build or the actual refrigerator itself.
It's the same issue for auto and truck manufacturers. My friend waited 6 months for his new F150.
It's probably out of the dealership's hands.

I would try to get your dealer to replace your frig with a unit from an rv that is in his inventory. It's something they should be willing to do for your repeat business.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen, but it is worth a try...Also now there are no pictures in the news of supply ships in the harbors because now I understand they were told to wait 140 miles off shore...
