I need some information, we have a 08 Kingston SK 33 with the Optional By-Pass kit, when I use this by-pass kitand add antifreeze does this procedure by-pass the water heater? I am assuming that the antifreeze will go through the water filter?

The bypass should be for the water heater. I would remove the filter just in case. You can store it in a sealed plastic bag.

Chrisnan23, thanks as far as I know that is the way it should work but in looking at the water lines I could not make out the by-pass conection and with a 16 gal water heater I wanted toto be sure.

Thanks John

I may be wrong,I haven't looked at mine bypass in a while, but there should be a built in check valve on one line to keep the water from flowing back thru the outlet when the bypass valves are positioned correctly. My old water had 3 valves to position but I thinking that this new one only has 2 because of using a check valve on the outlet to stop reverse flow.

Thanks for the replies, I will remove that picee of plastic and see what I have and while I am at it I think I will cut the height down so I can remove the filter and see what is going on around the water system.
